Review: Pestilence by Laura Thalassa

They came to earth—Pestilence, War, Famine, Death—four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.

When Pestilence comes for Sara Burn’s town, one thing is certain: everyone she knows and loves is marked for death. Unless, of course, the angelic-looking horseman is stopped, which is exactly what Sara has in mind when she shoots the unholy beast off his steed.

Too bad no one told her Pestilence can’t be killed.

Now the horseman, very much alive and very pissed off, has taken her prisoner, and he’s eager to make her suffer. Only, the longer she’s with him, the more uncertain she is about his true feelings towards her … and hers towards him.

And now, well, Sara might still be able to save the world, but in order to do so, she’ll have to sacrifice her heart in the process.

5 + Stars

Oh Pestilence!

This book was everything and so much more than I had hoped it would be. When I first saw the release I was drawn to this book. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and to finally be able to sit down and read every page.

I am happy to report that I absolutely loved this story! I will most certainly be stalking, I mean following Laura Thalassa for updates on the next book in the series War. Not only that, but I without a doubt plan to read her other books.

Pestilence is here to bring plague, and nothing more or less. He has no other purpose other than to go town to town spreading plague but what he never expected was to feel Human emotions. Sarah is the one who must stay behind to hopefully save her family, her town & the world. However what Sarah never expected was to fall for the Monster who has his mind set on destroying the world. Mercy is a strong conviction and Mercy is what pestilence comes to discover he is showing throughout this story.

Goodness even an hour after finishing this book I can’t seem to put my thoughts into coherent thoughts. My mind just keeps jumping all over the place with this story. I loved it! Loved it so much that I am certain the rest of the year will completely suck waiting for War to release but I am so excited for the wait. My favorite kind of book to finish is one that leaves me wanting more, and Pestilence has done just that. I want so much more of this storyline.

If you find yourself looking for a read that is enemies to lovers, then look no further because this one is just that and it’s Phenomenal.
