4.5 Beautiful Stars!
Kate Stewart slays with her words! The is only my second book to read by her and she definitely has a way with words.
Someone Else’s Ocean was such a wonderful read for me. From the moment I started reading about Koti and Ian’s story I didn’t want to stop. I was pulled into this beautiful story right away.
Koti lives in St. Thomas where life is exactly how she likes it. It’s her special escape and has helped her to discover who she is and who she wants to be. I related so strongly to Koti throughout this book because anxiety is truly a real struggle. While I do not struggle in ways that Koti does in this story I was still able to understand. Kate Stewart allows for us readers to see through her characters eyes what anxiety can do to someone, to be able to have a better understanding and grasp on it.
When Ian rushes to the Island to escape the lies he has discovered he didn’t expect to run into Koti but that is exactly what he does, quite literally to say. Ian tells himself on more than one occasion that he wants nothing more than to finally be selfish with his life but discovers that just isn’t the man he is and never will be.
I absolutely loved Ian! He is the caring, attractive, and attentive man who is also downright sexy & very dominant. He’s what every woman dreams of when they think of a perfect man, well maybe that’s just me but I really Loved Ian. I loved the enemies to lovers aspect so much of this book as well, even though really they aren’t enemies but two people who feel broken and want to just have solace in their bubbles.
Kate you wrote an exceptional story of two people who have their own demons but yet have such beautiful souls. Two people that fight for what they want and a real love story! I loved every single word of this book and could probably gush so much but I would hate to spoil anything about it for others.

A Texas native, Kate Stewart lives in North Carolina with her husband, Nick, and her naughty beagle, Sadie. She pens messy, sexy, angst-filled contemporary romance as well as romantic comedy and erotic suspense because it’s what she loves as a reader. Kate is a lover of all things ’80s and ’90s, especially John Hughes films and rap. She dabbles a little in photography, can knit a simple stitch scarf for necessity, and on occasion, does very well at whiskey.
