Review: Verity by Colleen Hoover

Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish.

Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity’s notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn’t expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity’s recollection of what really happened the day her daughter died.

Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents would devastate the already grieving father. But as Lowen’s feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife’s words. After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue to love her.

A standalone romantic thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover.

6 Twisted Stars!

I’m sitting here hours after finishing Verity and my mind is still reeling for this book!

I truly hope that Colleen Hoover will write future books in this genre because it was so intense and downright genius in the most twisted, dark, and captivating way.

I don’t think there are any words that could possibly do this story the justice it deserves!

Just Whoa! That ending, I mean seriously I never saw it coming and am still trying tp process it. This book is suspenseful and such a thrilling read that has me still trying to wrap my head around what I read. I didn’t want to put it down, couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was to come, and even had moments where I was seriously freaked out and would gasps out loud leaving my husband looking at me like I was crazy.

Colleen Hoover you never disappoint but this book is just Incredible!

There is romance within it, but in the typical style of books I read. Going into this book I decided the best route was to do so blindly, because after all I have always loved Colleen’s books and knew that even though this one was in no way like her others I was so excited to read it.

Saying I loved this book wouldn’t even come close to how I feel, because let’s be honest the way I feel about this book is intense. I don’t even know how to start another book after this one, and know I will be thinking of this story for a long time to come.

Fair warning, be ready to have your head messed with when you finish the book!
