Molly Alcott didn’t expect to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter stuffed between
bills and a supermarket flyer. Penned in familiar handwriting, dated over fifteen years ago, the letter was written to Molly after her first date with the man she’ll never forget.
Week after week, new letters appear. Each marks an event in the history of their epic love affair. Each heals a wound. Each holds the confession of the man who still owns Molly’s heart.
The letters are full of promise, hope and love, but truth be told, Molly wishes she could unread them all.
Because the man who wrote these letters is not the one sending them.
Letters to Molly is a sweet and emotional Second-chance love story! Devney Perry has written such a beautiful story about two people who are living with broken hearts and but yet are so full of love.
Second Chance love stories are typically books that I am excited for but I adored The Birthday List and getting a glimpse of Molly left me wanting more. I was excited to read her story, and to know what was to come for Finn. I was sure how to feel about Finn, but as you read this book you grow to love him.
It’s been 6 years since Molly and Finn divorced. 6 years for Molly to put up boundaries that protect her and also allow her to ensure her children are loved by both parents. Boundaries have purpose, and keep her heart safe from getting hurt again. However, Finn doesn’t care about boundaries and begins to realizing the love he had for Molly was something deep and unforgettable.
When letters begin to appear Molly doesn’t know if her heart can take much more. She’s scared, but finally getting answers that should have been there in the past.
I loved this book!! Devney Perry does a great job with writing two characters that you can’t help but root for. She gives us a new story but also we get to read about Poppy and Cole too. To see that their love is still going stronger than ever. The past characters play big parts in this book. Family is important and Devney does a perfect job of writing a love story with the perfect balance of romance, mystery and healing.
Letters to Molly was certainly emotional. It brings out emotions that I thought were gone but am glad it does because it also reminds me as a person that things can’t be ignored but rather need to be faced head on.
Devney Perry has a knack for writing such Beautiful stories and Letters to Molly is no different!
