5 Stars!!
I tried to go into this book as blind as possible. I had seen so many ratings and reviews that raved about this story. Not to mention, I am that moth that is drawn to the flame. With that being said, the cover!!!! Great reviews, and the cover is stunning! Seriously I love it and the details that are within it.
I asked for this book for Christmas from my husband and he delivered, so that is exactly what I did the days after. Lounged and read, and I am not disappointed whatsoever.
Going in the book is a little slow, but there is still something there that kept my attention. Left me wanting to know what was going to come. Witches are intriguing and I haven’t read many stories with them.
Lou is hiding, but knows that eventually she will be found. When she is thrust into the den of Lions she decides that it is the perfect hiding place. She must walk a thin line though because if she is discovered for who she is then her life will be over.
Reid knows only one thing. Witches are evil and must be killed. He has grown up with this and lives his life hunting them to protect the innocent. Lou shakes his entire world up though.
Serpent and Dove is full of so many surprises that I loved and the romance between the characters was perfect with a dash of sarcasm thrown into the mix. Once I got a quarter into this book there was no turning back. I didn’t want to put it down. I had to know what was to come, and am excited for the next book to release for the rest of this storyline!
I would absolutely recommend this book to others and will be continuing with the series when it releases!
